The Most Spectacular Golf Course On Earth

Earlier this month, the MANORS team flew to the Caribbean island of St Lucia to explore Point Hardy. The Coore & Crenshaw design on the north of the island that has garnered a lot of attention since its grand opening at the end of last year.

MANORS Creative Strategist, James, took to the fairways alongside Josh Denzel and Victor Cruz to explore the dramatic links. James documented his week of shot shaping off the Atlantic and pina colada drinking in his travelogue. You can watch the video above or read the highlights below:

After flying 10 hours from London to Hewanorra Airport in the south of the island the team drove north to Castries.

The following morning, after some breakfast at Villa Atlantis, it was time to head to the golf course.

Ridiculous views emerged on route to the clubhouse. A quick lunch on the beach and a warm up on the epic driving range and soon it was time to tee off.

The 5th hole is where things really get going. Home to surely the best halfway house in the world with views towards the headland in the distance.

The first truly signature hole is the 7th, a short par 3 with a green that juts out into the Atlantic. The 8th tee shot then forces you across the cove towards a small elevated green. The back nine starts quietly, retreating back inland, building the tension for what’s to come. As you traverse the slope on the 14th fairway the ocean views return. From there its an out and out assault on the senses.

The tee shot on 15 takes you over the water and along the cliff face, the par 3 16th is protected on 3 sides by crashing waves, the 17th tee is elevated on a pinnacle of rock, leaving a 175 yards across a plunging chasm.

Day of golf complete, it was time to take in the sights of St Lucia, the infamous Friday Night Gros Islet Street Party, dramatic waterfalls, active volcanoes and finally some down time at Sugar Beach.
